On her numerous Youtube videos and Instagram pictures, Huda Kattan looks flawless – her doe jade eyes stare softly, her olive complexion glows, her jet black hair cascades down her shoulders.
And yet, the Youtube-guru-turned-Instagram-influencer, whose Huda Beauty line is to arrive stateside in Sephora and J.C. Penny in August, openly confessed about her less than perfect, breakout-prone skin in an intimate interview with WWD.
“I have the worst skin ever. If I don’t take care of it religiously, I break out every single time without fail,” the Iraqi-American makeup artist told WWD.
Instagram’s wealthiest member, who has turned her social media mettle into mainstream fame, Kattan endorses creativity – both as the foundation for her label and the force behind her makeup tutorials.
Yet, her skincare relies on proven products. Kattan swears by SkinCeuticals Skin Firming Cream to reduce the appearance of her pores; Rose O12 Moisture Defense Oil and SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic 1 Fluid Ounce to protect her skin from free radicals and revert aging.
And still, when a random blemish spoils her look, Kattan uses Baby Quasar’s baby blue light therapy, which provides an at-home, long-lasting acne treatment.
“I actually used it on a plane once…and I was, like, ‘I don’t know if I should be doing that,’” she said.
