On March 21st, Britain’s Fragrance Foundation – and the whole beauty world, really – marks National Fragrance Day. Only a day earlier spring 2017 officially kicked in in the Northern hemisphere.
So, what better way to combine and celebrate the two holidays than to treat yourself to a new perfume?
Haute Beauty sniffs five scents that are to waft through the season of rejuvenation.
Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum, $55 – $120
The much-anticipated Guerlain’s perfume is blooming with strong and sensual femininity. Promoted in a minimalist campaign, Guerlian Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum carries “the scent of a woman;” of Angelina Jolie, to be precise. This Oriental fragrance includes vanilla, sandalwood, lavender and jasmine.
Miu Miu Leau Bleue, $90
The latest Miu Miu’s fragrance, following releases in 2016 and 2015, comes in a chic light cerulean bottle (a transparent revamp of the brand’s iconic container) that holds 50 ml of bright floral notes. Infused with the subtle scents of lily of the valley and akigalawood, the perfume brings in the fresh and joyous spirit of spring.
Carolina Herrera Good Girl Eau de Parfum Spray, $115
Packaged in a black stiletto-shaped bottle (great décor piece in itself), the Good Girl perfume reveals a playful side of rich cocoa and tonka. Evoking both the sensual and stern faces of femininity, Carolina Herrera Good Girl is airy enough for the office and cheekily bold for a night out.
Sisley Paris Izia, $100
A perfume with a distinct flowery bouquet, Sisley Paris Izia bursts with the effervescent smells of rose, musk, bergamot and pink pepper. A balanced combination of the scents of a thick wood and a blossoming garden, the perfume brings spring on.
Giorgio Armani Si Rose Signature Eau de parfum, $92
Anther rose-based fragrance, Giorgio Armani Si Rose Signature Eau de parfum is equal parts strong and delicate. A seductive interpretation of the modern woman through a beaming rose – or vice versa, the perfume also exudes notes of vanilla and musk that form a woody, stately undertone.
