In the hassle of busy schedules, routine stress and fast meals, the body often needs a pause to reset itself. One of the best way to allow your organism to operate smoothly despite the deluge of environmental aggressors is detox. Detox cleans the body of harmful elements and boosts its functions. For a healthy jolt consider these detoxing foods.

Avocado
Avocados have often got a bad rap because of their high count of fat. But rest assured avocados will not add to your waistline – just the opposite. Rich in fiber and antioxidants, they make for great detox option. And the fats they contain? These are in fact heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids.

Artichokes
If you suffer from a liver condition, you may have already discovered the benefits of artichokes. They contain an antioxidant compound – caffeoylquinic acid – that stimulates the flow of bile. Why is this particularly good for cleansing your system? Bile helps the body break down fats and flushes out inflammatory agents.

Beets
Another liver-friendly vegetable, beets are among the few edibles that are rich in betalains. Prompting the deep red hue of beets, betalains stimulate cell repair and regeneration.

Cruciferous vegetables
Known for their crisscrossed shape, cruciferous vegetables brim with antioxidants. So, diversify your diet with as much broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts and kale as possible. What is even better – research has shown that cruciferous vegetable can reduce the risk of certain cancers.

Dill
Rich in anti-inflammatory chemicals and vitamins, dill stimulates the production and action of glutathione, an antioxidant that cleanses the liver from free radicals.

Also, do not forget staples like green tea and lemons and probiotic-rich yogurt.
