We caught up recently with Christine to find out what she loves most about Boston.

Where were you born?  Somerville, NJ

How long in Boston? Since I was three

Where do you live now? Lexington, MA

Occupation?  Salon/Spa Owner

Favorite Restaurant: Deuxave

Best Sushi: Billy Tse

Best Italian:  Bella Vista

Best Dessert:  Finale (Boston cream cake)

Best Place for a Romantic Date: Mandarin Orient lounge.  The drink menu alone will have you figure out what the guy’s relationship comfort level is!

Best Sunday Brunch: Abe and Louie’s

Best Place for a Power Business Meeting: Toscano’s

If you have out of town guests, which hotel would you recommend?  Probably the W, so you are close to action.

Favorite Shopping Venue/Boutique:  Saks shoe department hands down.  Simone is a goddess.

Best Place to Buy Jewelry/Watches: Long’s.  Easy and everywhere with a varied selection and the best hospitality.

Best Spa: Pyara, of course.

Favorite Charity Event:  Green Carpet: Aveda’s annual Trashion Show to raise money for earth month, partnering with Clean Ocean Action.

Favorite Cultural Event: Crazy earth month event run by all the local Aveda salons during April

Favorite Cultural Institution:  Honestly the streets of Boston; if you don’t absorb history and culture just walking around you are missing so much!

Best Steakhouse: MOOO

Best Pizza: Regina’s (what can I say I’m a local purist)

Best Gym/Athletic Facility: Btone Pilates

Best Massage: Stress Fix Aveda massage.  So relaxing!

Best Driving Service: UBER

Best Museum/Exhibit: Museum of Science.  So much tradition to share with my kids.

Favorite historic/legendary place to see or explore:  Freedom Trail.  Obsessed with how cool our city is and love being reminded we come from a long line of bad-asses.

Describe Boston in three words: history, strength, community

All-around favorite locale in Boston, whether a neighborhood, restaurant, venue, or other: Copley Square.  The old world charm and beauty put me in awe and make me take a moment to reflect each time I am there.

Best aspect of Boston: Boston is a big city with a small town attitude.  The people here are tough to get to know but once you do they are loyal to a fault which adds to our strong sense of community and bonds. I love when you meet someone, and then they know someone you know, and so on and so forth, into the six degrees of separation, and suddenly you’re best friends!
