The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale Unveils New Destination Spa

Wellness October 14, 2015 By Julianna Medina

Ritz-Carlton Fort LauderdaleWe all go to spas to feel rejuvenated, but sometimes even the spas themselves need a little rejuvenation too. As is the case with The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, which recently underwent a few treatments and is now looking better than ever. Not only does the spa have a more updated look, it has also been expanded and boasts a fresh, new design. The makeover wouldn’t be complete without a new menu of custom treatments, and ESPA products to further elevate the experience.

Helmed by New York City firm Dash Design, the new 8,500-square-foot destination spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale now features a new steam room, sauna, and a full-service salon, making it the first beachfront full-service spa in all of Fort Lauderdale.

Remodeled spa means… more treatment rooms! The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale now offers 11 treatment rooms including a private couple’s treatment suite and private massage areas. Did we mention Jacuzzis on the seventh floor on the tropical pool deck? The spa also features a state of the art fitness center with Technogym cardiovascular and strength equipment. The intracoastal water view is definitely a plus. All-new marble and mosaic tile wet areas include a steam room, wet room, and sauna. The spa’s full service hair, manicure, and pedicure salon is available for hotel guests and locals alike; perfect for blowouts, bridal parties and all other beauty needs.

“The experience working with ownership and The Ritz-Carlton brand to elevate and revitalize the spa was a very positive and collaborative one,” said Principal of Dash Design, Paula Azevedo. The innovative design firm’s goal was to revitalize the underutilized space in the former spa, hence allowing for more guest services. The upgraded spa compliments the aesthetics of the oceanfront with tones of aqua and greens layered into the design.Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale nail spaThe re-invented destination spa will serve as a private oasis for those seeking to unwind in extravagant style for all beauty and wellness needs. The newly constructed treatment menu with ESPA products speaks Fort Lauderdale with nods to the native tribes that inhabit the area, the tranquil ocean and the state’s dear Florida oranges. Fresh treatments, such as the Cleansing Ceremony, which provides the same benefits as a three day juice cleanse, the Rebalancing Citrus Spring, which offers a local citrus scrub and calming stone massage or the Biodynamic Facial using products harvested based on the phases of the moon are custom and exclusive to the new spa.

Fall is all about pumpkin this and pumpkin that. The Ritz-Carlton spa is getting in on the pumpkin action and has introduced a “Spumpkin Package” where guests have the opportunity to pick from the spa’s very own “Spumpkin Patch.” After picking a pumpkin, the spa therapist cuts, prepares and incorporates the freshly picked pumpkin into the custom scrub. Next, guests will relax with a full-body pumpkin exfoliation, followed by a hydrating body wrap and a 25-minute, targeted pumpkin massage. For those who cannot get enough fall, this package also includes an 80-minute cranberry manicure and pedicure and complimentary hair, scalp and blow-dry treatment.

Winter Holiday Activities
Additional holiday programming includes a “Spa White Friday” on Black Friday where guests will receive up to 75 percent off retail for the day. The spa will also celebrate December “Spalidays” with monthly themed holiday specials. Lastly, guests will have the opportunity to Deck the Halls with Spa and Mani’s from December 1st through January 3rd with a Champagne Body Treatment, Vino Antioxidant Facial, or a peppermint stick manicure and pedicure.
