Now that we’ve suffered through June gloom, which for San Franciscans drags into July and August, it’s time to gear up for Indian Summer — that wonderful time of year when the mercury rises just enough to where we can put away our down jackets. Whether you’re looking for a cool place to take a yoga class or haute tips to protect your skin during the change of seasons, we offer these ideas:

Indian Summer Yoga Class: Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco Sky Deck

For those who want to practice their asanas in the sky, head to the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco to take part in the new Indian Summer Yoga Classes on the 40th floor Sky Deck while enjoying the city’s summerlike weather in the middle of autumn. Instructors from The Spa teach a variety of yoga styles, including Vinyasa Flow Yoga for Strength, which focuses on linking body movement and breath, with a special emphasis on building strength. Better yet, book the “Yoga in the Sky Retreat” package, available Friday and Saturday nights only from September 6 to October 26, 2014. The package, which starts at $795 and is based on double occupancy, includes luxurious accommodations for one night, a yoga class on the sky deck,  two 45-minute Calm Mind treatment, which re-harmonizes the body’s natural flow and movement and features a signature head massage, and a healthy breakfast for two at Brasserie S&P.

  • Autumn Spice Pedicure: Featuring the aromas of cinnamon, cloves, ginger & cardamom, made with botanical oils and pumpkin seeds, this pedicure makes for a luxurious, moisturizing treat. Skin Care Tips from Top Esthetician

Don’t forget about your skin as the seasons change either. It’s always important to assess our skincare routine and make adjustments as the temperatures change too. Dani Lamkin, the Lead Esthetician at the Nob Hill Spa, offers these skin care tips:
