Robert Morin, MD is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon, Craniofacial Surgeon, and Pediatric Plastic Surgeon who specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery involving the face and body. Dr. Morin graduated from New York Medical College as a member of the AOA Honors Medical Society. He subsequently completed a combined General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency program at Rutgers University. Dr. Morin then pursued his passion involving facial reconstruction at Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he successfully completed a Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship under the guidance of the world-renowned craniofacial surgeon S. Anthony Wolfe, MD. Dr. Morin subsequently returned to the New York metropolitan area and started a private practice in Hackensack, New Jersey. Dr. Morin is currently on staff at Hackensack University Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center, in addition to several outpatient surgery centers.
From a reconstructive perspective, Dr. Morin has extensive experience and expertise in the surgical treatment of patients with craniosynostosis, microtia, cleft lip and palate, and congenital and acquired deformities involving the face, ears, and nose. Dr. Morin is also an expert at reconstructing the face and skull in the setting of trauma, cancer, and other complex congenital malformations. Dr. Morin works closely with pediatric neurosurgeons, surgical oncologists, and dermatologists in order to provide the most comprehensive care possible to his patients.
In addition to successfully performing complex craniofacial reconstructions, Dr. Morin is an expert in a wide range of cosmetic plastic surgery procedures including rhinoplasty, facelift, and breast enhancement. Dr. Morin is extremely passionate about rhinoplasty and he is both a leader and an educator in the field. By combining his expertise in rhinoplasty with his experience as a craniofacial surgeon, Dr. Morin is able to provide exceptional results to patients seeking facial feminization as a part of their gender-affirming surgical care. Dr. Morin also has an exceptional ability to naturally enhance the youthfulness of the face by means of face-lifting and fat grafting, and the aesthetic contour of the body by means of breast augmentation, breast lift, and abdominoplasty.
Dr. Morin’s passion for reconstructing the faces of children led him to co-found a 501c3 charity named Developing Faces. The charity’s mission is to provide high-quality surgical care to babies and children with facial abnormalities living in developing countries around the world. Through his organization and others, Dr. Morin has provided surgical care to children in Guatemala, Colombia, the Philippines, and Mauritius. In addition, he was one of the first surgeons on the ground in Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010.
