Injections have become a popular quick fix to changing the aesthetics of your face in recent years. With the rise of filters and celebrities opting for fillers and Botox, the topic of injections continues to gain more attention. While injections may seem hard to approach as a newbie, getting the right consultation beforehand can make a huge difference. We sat down with Haute Beauty expert Rachel Duke to see which methods she has seen success with when speaking to patients and what type of injections are the most popular at the moment. If you’ve been considering getting injections, here’s everything you need to know.
What does the generic initial consultation include?
An initial consultation is one hour. This allows time to discuss the patient's concerns and provide treatment on the same day if the patient wishes to do so.
Most of the time, do you consult and inject during the same “consultation” period?
If the patient wishes to do so and if there is an appropriate amount of time. Botox is commonly done on the same day; filler is sometimes scheduled later due to the need for possible downtime and healing after the injections. We try to access what’s best for the patient on a case-to-case basis.
What is the most common question you get asked regarding injections?

What is the most popular injection request by patients?
Botox first, filler is a close second, and lots of retail skincare questions.
How can a patient prepare for a consultation?
It is best to come in with a clean face and no makeup. Most importantly, an open mind. Most patients come in with an idea of what they want to improve. For example, complaints about nasal labial folds. The best treatment for this is sometimes to correct mid-face volume loss first. Being open to recommendations will provide the best results.
How do you personalize your treatment to meet your client’s needs?
Each patient is treated individually. No patient receives the same treatment. Your injection plan is based on your individual needs and goals. We use personalized strategies and strive for natural results that will leave the patient feeling at their absolute best.
