Since the age of 16, Rosalía has reddened her pout using MAC’s iconic Ruby Woo lipstick. “I think this was the first thing I bought from MAC,” she recently told Allure. Now, the cosmetic company has not only named her as a global brand ambassador but dedicated an entire collection to the 28-year-old Spanish singer.
Aute Cuture Starring Rosalía features a 10-shade eyeshadow palette, four-pan Extra Dimension Skinfinish highlighter palette, four bullet lipsticks, four Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours and two packs of Nail Adornments. Though Rosalía loves every product in the collection, Rusi Woo — the red matte bullet lipstick she inspired — holds a special place in her heart.

An obvious sucker for red lips, Rosalía said her favorite technique for applying Rusi Woo came from makeup artist Javier Ceferino: “He applies just little touches on the center [of the lips] and uses a soft brown pencil to line the lips. But he blends the red and the brown, so he gets the best, most natural tone for your lips.” Plus, she loves when Ceferino coats her matte pucker in gloss using MAC’s Lipglass.
In addition to obsessing over Rusi Woo, Rosalía swears by Biologique Recherche. On the daily, she cleanses her face using the Lait U cleansing milk, which doesn’t dry out her skin. After, she’ll follow with the Lotion P50 1970 — unlike other chemical exfoliants she’s tried, this one doesn’t irritate her skin — for some light chemical exfoliation. Her simple skincare routine closes with serums and a moisturizer.
“I think that during quarantine, I got a little bit more disciplined [with my skincare routine] because I had more time,” Rosalía said about her growing attention toward skincare. Though her flawless canvas might be captivating her focus at the moment, we can certainly hope for more beauty surprises from Rosalía in the future.
