It almost seems that science fiction has become real science. There are so many new therapies and lifestyle changes that virtually slow down the aging process while even turning back the hands of time.
Advanced lab testing: We have to think beyond basic labs in order to assess the root cause of medical conditions. Being reactive, as we are in traditional healthcare, just does not cut it anymore. We need to be more proactive in not only treating diseases but in figuring out why they reoccurring in the first place. I use an array of in-depth testing in order to unlock the secrets of what is going on mentally and physically. Some of my favorite tests are gut health, neuroadrenal, hormones, autoimmune, food sensitivity, lipoprotein, telomere, micronutrients, heavy metals and so much more.
Nutraceuticals: In my practice, I stress the importance of using physician-regulated, pharmaceutical-grade supplements. Since there is no FDA regulation on supplements, buying supplements over-the-counter or off the internet can be dangerous as no one quite knows what ingredients or additives may be in there which could be harmful. Always consult your physician before starting anything.
BHRT (Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy): Rebalancing and replenishing hormones that are lost as a result of aging and that in turn are responsible for youthfulness, is a great way to slow down the aging process. Biologically, women go through menopause while men go through andropause, and this occurs mid-life. A whole host of changes can occur and we often refer to this as a midlife crisis that affects people mentally, physically, emotionally, sexually. Speak to your physician about proper testing and therapies.

They allow our body to use its innate healing mechanisms for more optimal health while stalling the aging process. Peptides can improve immunity, enhance muscle strength, improve skin integrity, boost cognitive function, speed up recovery after injury, bolster hair growth, preserve lean body mass, reduce pain, help lower anxiety and depression, and more. Some peptides include CJC-125, sermorelin, ipamorelin, BPC-157, thymosin alpha/beta, GHK-Cu, epithalon, bremelanotide, Melanotan, DSIP, Selank, IGF, and more. Consult your physician on what may be right for you.
Face and body aesthetics: I love performing non-surgical aesthetics for those looking to avoid surgery. This is a booming industry that includes neuromodulators, fillers, laser skin resurfacing, RF microneedling, muscle-sculpting, permanent fat destruction amongst many others.
Medical-grade skin-care: Avoid buying skincare in stores, If you cannot pronounce the ingredients, that means they are synthetic and toxic chemicals. Your skin is the largest organ and serves as the barrier between the external and internal environments. Everything and anything you put on your skin seep right into your bloodstream. Using toxic products can not only be damaging to your skin in the long run, but they also increase your risks of cancers, hormonal disruption, infertility, weight gain, allergies, and more. Look for products that are medical-grade and organic. Talk to your physician about options.
Lifestyle measures: My 4 pillars of a healthy lifestyle are a clean diet, restorative sleep, exercise, and stress reduction. Balance all 4 of these and you will be able to take years off. This is my secret in my anti-aging arsenal. To learn more, visit www.synergistiqhealth.com. Remember this, aging is a fact of life, but looking your age is not. Cura te Ipsum.
