Noninvasive body contouring uses technology to melt fat, tighten skin, and tone muscle without the downtime and recovery of traditional surgery. Everyone’s body is unique so it is important to be evaluated by an experienced, board-certified doctor who can provide you with a plan to meet individual needs. I pride myself on having all the latest technologies in my office so we have the right solution for every patient.
HB: Who would benefit from this treatment?
Noninvasive body contouring is a great option for people who are looking to maintain their current body shape, tone up a bit, or lose fat in stubborn areas. As we age, diet and exercise sometimes aren’t enough and that is where treatments like Evolve or CoolSculpting come in handy. It is important to note that non-invasive procedures are not weight-loss treatments. People looking to shed 20 or more pounds will not achieve the results they’re looking for unless they are using noninvasive modalities in combination with a diet and exercise. For patients looking to lose more than 20 pounds, I offer traditional liposuction, smart lipo, and BodyTite.
HB: Would this benefit a woman who has gained weight after pregnancy vs. a combination of this treatment and other skin tightening instead of a Mommy Makeover?
Patients who gain a significant amount of weight during pregnancy and have moderate to severe skin laxity will not get the same results for someone with minimal weight gain and laxity. That’s not to say that someone who is larger will not benefit at all, but it is important to have realistic expectations. In my office, I do a minimally invasive ‘ Karyng4Mommy Makeover.’ I customize treatments that will benefit the individual. I believe consultations are an important part of the process because I can collaborate with my patients giving them detailed and accurate information educating them on the proper results and realistic expectations.

A tummy tuck is a major surgery with a notoriously long & arduous recovery. There are risks for complications, discomfort, weeks of bed rest, and a significant scar that is not easy to disguise. For new moms, a tummy tuck means not being able to lift your child for 12 weeks, something that is nearly impossible when you have little ones running around.
Non-invasive and minimally invasive modalities are ideal for patients who do not want to go under anesthesia or succumb to a lengthy and painful recovery. Thanks to technology, we can provide patients with noticeable improvement without the disadvantages of traditional surgery.
HB: What is the difference when you combine multiple treatments rather than doing just one?
When it comes to minimally invasive procedures, one of the most effective ways to achieve optimal results is by using a combination of treatments. When patients come into my office, they know that I will address their areas of concern in every possible way. I have an extensive arsenal of devices for the ‘Karyng4MommyMakeover.’ After pregnancy, weight gain is not the only culprit that causes the post-baby body. Stretching of the abdominal muscles and the skin is also to blame for the difficulty of snapping back to your pre-baby body. For patients looking for a more aggressive approach, I’ll combine liposuction with BodyTite and Morpheus8Body to remove fat and tighten the skin both superficially and subcutaneously. For new moms that are looking for a treatment with no downtime, we have Evolve and CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is a very strong and effective way to eliminate fat. Evolve has 3 different modalities which are used for toning the muscle, melting the fat, and tightening the skin.
