Miami Cosmetic Surgery Wraps Up Successful Inaugural Event  

Miami Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetic Dermatology forum concluded its inaugural event on Feb. 22 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in Miami Fla. Haute Beauty Network members that not only attended but spoke on panels included Dr. Sachin Shridharani, Dr. Jason Bloom and Dr. Babis Rammos. Members spoke alongside Botox Cosmetic pioneer Dr. Jean Carruthers, who made a Keynote Address.

Organized and executed by Informa Markets, U.S. Medical Aesthetic Group, Miami Cosmetic Surgery is a leading multispecialty forum addressing the science, practice, and techniques of aesthetic surgery and medicine. The event welcomed 700+ attendees from more than 40 countries.  A majority of attendees included aesthetic and plastic surgeons, dermatologists and many other professions related to the industry.

The conference program also featured dozens of sessions, workshops and live demos, including cadaver dissections, that covered four key subject areas: surgical, medical devices, injectables and practice management.

Dr. Rammos covered topics like face and brow surgical anatomy, breast augmentation mastopexy, as well as social media marketing.  Dr. Bloom spoke about Transaxemic Acid for facial plastic surgery. And Dr. Shridharani performed a live demo, with fillers on the lower-thirds and spoke on a panel about fillers for the nose and why he only uses a cannula.

In addition to the world-class education, the event’s expo hall was buzzing throughout the event – a marketplace where attendees could shop the latest solutions from more than 100 exhibitors. Some of the powerhouse brands and leading aesthetic businesses who showcased their products and services included Advice Media, Allergan, Alma Lasers, Benev Company, Inc., BTL Aesthetics, Crown Aesthetics, Crystal Clear Digital Marketing, Endo Aesthetics, Fotona, Galderma Laboratories, HansBiomed USA, Legally Mine, Medithread, Merz North America, Rohrer Aesthetics and SkinCeuticals.

“Having attended meetings all over the world, I have to say MCS 2020 was an exceptional meeting. Balanced talks and great scientific content,” said faculty member Debraj Shome, MD.

“I will most certainly be there next year,” she added.

The inaugural event included many more activations like the Miami Cosmetic Surgery’s Gala for Good, which raised $10,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a Special event titled “Rise & Shine with Shino Bay” sponsored by SkinCeuticals, and a Passion Project networking event sponsored by Allergan.

MCS 2021 dates are February 25-27.
