Adriana Lima Shares A Simple Yet Effective Hair Hack

adriana-lima

Adriana Lima is a beauty icon. From strutting the most coveted runways to tending to her two under-10-year-old daughters to starring in TV series to now hosting American Beauty Star, Lima knows how to juggle a slew of appointments – and do so with grace. Her schedule might be hectic, but the 36-year old Brazilian does not let stress dull her lustrous locks.

In a recent interview with InStyle, the longest-running Victoria's Secret Angel revealed her favorite haircare trick. And luckily for us, mere mortals, it is quite economical and easy to follow.

“You choose whatever is your favorite conditioner or hair mask, whatever, and then you take one avocado—I am not joking,” Lima said. “You mash the avocado, you mix with whatever conditioner you have, you put it on your hair, and you put on a shower cap for like 15 minutes.”

Given the natural benefits, it is no wonder Lime relies on avocados to bolster her tresses, which, she said, are otherwise dry. The tropical fruit contains Vitamin B and E, which both strengthen the hair on cellular level. Vitamin E repairs the scalp, while Vitamin B prompts growth. At the same time, the fat contained in avocados prevents hair brittleness and breakage.

“When you wash [the avocado conditioner] off, your hair is gonna be shiny, shiny, shiny,” she assured.
