Haute Obsession: FarmHouse Fresh Goods

Using farm-sourced ingredients, a Dallas-area natural beauty company is crafting wholesome products that are so delectable you might just be tempted to sneak a taste.

We love spa and beauty products that evoke images of bucolic farmhouses and organic gardens; there’s just something about them that tells us we are doing a body good. But at North Texas-based FarmHouse Fresh Goods, the images aren’t just lore. The company sources its products from U.S. farms, including honey and grapefruit extracts from Texas and organic pumpkin puree from Oregon.

“We craft products from a whimsical place, hand-packaging them into beautiful gifts, and partnering with spas to create mouthwatering experiences for spa guests throughout the U.S.,” says founder Shannon McLinden.

Found in high-end spas and resorts around the country, including the Ritz-Carlton Dallas and the Spa at Camelback Inn in Arizona, the products come in fancifully designed packaging (more than a few farm animals get their closeups here) and feature 99.6 percent natural and naturally-derived ingredients.

We love the boozy beauty products that are proof (no pun intended) that spirits can be good for the body. There’s the new Brandy Pear Sea Salt Body Polish—featuring sea salt crystals, Vitamin-E-rich rice bran oil and enough pear-infused brandy that you might want to take a taste—as well as the Bourbon Bubbler, a Kentucky-whiskey and brown sugar body polish.

But perhaps the most beloved of the collection is the Fluffy Bunny Shea Butter Hand Cream, a whipped confection-like lotion infused with mint julep and a hint of lavender.

The company offers a bag of five free samples of FarmHouse Fresh products. Better yet, try them out at the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Dallas in Las Colinas: The Honey-Lavender Scrub and Massage starts with a scrub using the product of the same name, then concludes with a Fluffy Bunny Shea Butter Cream massage.
