Was there a personal and/or professional experience that inspired you to open your practice?
After completing my training as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I found myself drawn to the aesthetic field. I started working in the industry and quickly realized it was my true passion. Seeing the positive impact I could have on people’s confidence and well-being was incredibly rewarding. I worked for four years in aesthetics, learning advanced techniques and gaining hands-on experience. During this time, I realized that I wanted to create a space where I could provide personalized care, combining my medical expertise with a focus on natural, beautiful results. This led me to open Aesthetic Island—a place where I could offer the highest quality treatments while making clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. It was both my love for aesthetics and the desire to help people feel their best that inspired me to take this step.
What was your mission at the start of opening your practice? Has it changed?
My mission when I opened Aesthetic Island was simple: to provide personalized, high-quality aesthetic treatments that enhance my clients’ natural beauty while making them feel confident and cared for. I wanted to create a space where people could trust they were receiving expert, safe, and effective care using the most advanced techniques and FDA-approved products.
That mission has remained the same, but as the practice has grown, my focus has expanded. I’m now even more committed to offering a broader range of services and staying on the cutting edge of aesthetics. I’ve also developed a deeper understanding of how important it is to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions and being involved in their treatment plans. The heart of my practice, helping people look and feel their best, has never wavered, but I’ve become more dedicated to making every client’s experience as personalized and positive as possible.

How did you come up with the name of your practice?
Funny story, actually! I must give credit where credit is due my husband came up with the name “Aesthetic Island,” and I instantly fell in love with it. We’re located on Coney Island, and since I work in aesthetics, the name felt like the perfect blend of both worlds. I also loved how it aligned with my vision of creating a retreat-like experience for my patients. I wanted them to feel relaxed and let their self-care take over, almost like they’re on vacation with a piña colada in hand. It really fit the vibe I wanted for the practice where beauty and relaxation meet!
What are the most popular services requested?
At Aesthetic Island, all our services are popular, but the ones that truly stand out the most are PRP/PRF treatments, Botox, and fillers. These treatments consistently deliver incredible results, offering our clients rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, and enhanced facial volume for a refreshed look.
What is the future of your field?
The future of the aesthetic field is incredibly exciting, with advancements in technology and treatments pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve. I see non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments becoming even more popular as clients are looking for effective results with little to no downtime. Technologies like radiofrequency skin tightening, laser treatments, and advanced injectables are evolving to deliver even more precise and long-lasting outcomes.
Another key trend is the rise of personalized treatments—customized plans that are tailored specifically to each client’s unique needs. With advancements in skin analysis tools and injectable products like biostimulators, the focus will shift even more toward treatments that encourage the body’s natural regenerative processes.
Additionally, the integration of wellness and aesthetics will likely continue to grow, with more clients seeking treatments that not only enhance their appearance but also improve their overall well-being, such as IV therapy and hormonal balance treatments. The future is about combining beauty, health, and science in a holistic way to help people look and feel their best.

Are there any new services you are excited to offer?
I'm excited to introduce two new services at Aesthetic Island: non-surgical BBL and non-surgical rhinoplasty with dermal fillers. These treatments deliver amazing results without the need for invasive surgery. The non-surgical BBL is a fantastic option for shaping and enhancing the buttocks, particularly for addressing hip dips, while the non-surgical rhinoplasty allows clients to refine and reshape their noses with subtle yet effective results, all with minimal downtime. I’m thrilled to offer these innovative options to my clients who are looking for non-invasive ways to achieve their aesthetic goals.
What is one underrated service that doesn’t receive as much press as it should be?
One underrated service that doesn’t receive as much attention as it should is PRP/PRF treatments. While these treatments are well-known in some circles, they deserve far more recognition for their incredible benefits. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) use the body’s own healing factors to rejuvenate the skin, promote collagen production, and improve texture and tone. They’re perfect for clients looking for natural, subtle enhancements with long-term benefits. I often recommend PRP/PRF to clients because of its versatility and the beautiful, natural-looking results it can achieve, yet it doesn’t always get the spotlight compared to more popular treatments like Botox or fillers.
