This past weekend, Haute Beauty expert, Dr. Amy B. Lewis, headed to Nashville to join the exclusive panel for Art of triLift. The event addressed skin of color, laser mastery pearls, SmoothGlo for facial rejuvenation, and much more.

As a premier private practice dermatologist specializing in the cosmetic and laser fields, Dr. Lewis brought her brilliance to the panel when talking about the innovative triLift treatment, a painless, noninvasive, and no downtime procedure to lift the face.

Although it is something that we all dread, everyone is bound to age. Starting at the early age of 20, our collagen production starts to slow down, though it takes another decade or two to notice the toll it takes on our skin. By the age of 40, unwanted wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration, and sagging become a pressing cause of concern. In an attempt to reverse or mask these signs of aging, surgical options such as facelifts may sound like a good idea.

However, many of these treatments are invasive, time-consuming, and often produce unnatural results with potential complications. New innovative technological advances have given us a new no downtime, non-surgical alternative to improve facial lifting and volume restoration to promote a more youthful counter and appearance.

Trilift by Lumenis is a cutting edge (with no cutting!) modality that provides a non-invasive, no downtime, painless option to achieve a more natural result with facial lifting, tightening, and a boost to collagen production. The triple action device aims to directly target the root cause of aging – the facial muscles.

What is TriLift?

Like its name, triLift is a three-modality device that targets three aging elements. It addresses structure, contour, and texture while allowing for noticeable facial lifting. The process begins with structure. This step uses what is called Dynamic Muscle Stimulation (DMSt) to help lift and tone the underlying muscles in the skin, targeting the root cause behind sagging.

Second, contour is addressed using the clinically proven TriPollar® RF. This technology regenerates collagen, reduces wrinkles, and tightens the skin, allowing the skin to appear fuller and brighter. It provides visible results immediately after just one treatment and can last 8 months or more. Repeated touch-up sessions can maintain these results for much longer.

The last part of the procedure resolves the skin’s texture with microneedling RF and skin resurfacing. This is done with a tool called triFX RF using the thinnest needles on the market, with the diameter of a human hair. Targeting the dermis, the procedure heats and re-energizes the tissue with a thermal effect, leading to resurfacing, texture improvement, and added volume.

Results

The end product of triLift offers the triple threat effect of added structure, contour, and improved texture. Unlike other “facelift alternatives,” triLift is known to produce some immediate results. Benefits can be visible after just one treatment and have a long-lasting impact that improves over time with each additional touch-up or maintenance session.

It is because of triLift, that you can achieve facelift-like effects without the negative side effects going under the knife can bring. Many undergo one treatment to get that tight and youthful look before a red carpet event, wedding, reunion, or black tie appearance. You can continue to build on this by completing the recommended 4-5 sessions or return as needed for your extra boost.

Of note, starting these treatments early before we see the effects of our collagen loss and muscle changes may help prevent these from becoming visible in the future. This is the “prejuvenation” trend we are seeing, allowing those in their 20s and 30s to keep their collagen production revved up and prevent the sagging muscles we see happening in our parents. Prevention is easier than reversing.
