Walk through the doors of Haute Beauty expert Dr. Jeffrey Lisiecki's aesthetic surgery center, and you'll understand why this New York City plastic surgeon is reputable, beyond belief. From the professionalism, expertise, and compassion that Dr. Lisiecki shares with his patients, it's inevitable to not walk out with a smile on your face. To learn more about how Dr. Lisiecki operates, Haute Beauty asked him a range of questions highlighting his greatest achievements to the biggest misconceptions in his field. Here's what he shared:
My greatest achievement:
My greatest achievement is opening my new office here in New York! It really is the culmination of so many years of hard work and dedication to training and learning my craft. I am so excited and honored to be able to bring my skills and perspective to the plastic surgery community and all of the wonderful patients here and to practice plastic surgery the way that I believe it should be practiced.
What is the future of your field?
The future of aesthetic plastic surgery is much more thoughtful and refined than in the past. It whispers instead of screaming. I think surgeons in the know are getting better and better at understanding the anatomy and how to apply various techniques, how to execute them safely, and achieve better results that last. The days of stiff, overinflated faces weighed down with too much filler is gone, as are obvious, way overdone breasts and buttocks and facelifts that look "pulled" or unnatural. What is here, hopefully, to stay, are beautiful results that work with your anatomy and hold up over time.
The biggest misconception about my field is…
There are two biggest misconceptions about plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures. The first is that it looks "fake." Well-done procedures can be extremely natural looking, or sometimes just a little too good to be natural! The other is about who gets work done. It is not just for the famous and the very wealthy. Aesthetic surgery can and should be to help anyone feel more confident in their own skin. My patients range from students to working professionals, from models to business owners to other doctors, and beyond.

My most requested procedure:
My most requested surgical procedures are rhinoplasty, facelift, and breast augmentation. For nonsurgical procedures, I do a lot of cheek and jawline contouring.
What surgical advancements are you most excited about?
There are so many; I really strive to apply the best of our modern techniques and use scientific evidence to guide my decisions. For rhinoplasty, I am excited about all that we have been learning about when to apply and when not to apply preservation rhinoplasty techniques. In breast surgery, I am excited about subfascial augmentation, which is an alternative to more traditional breast augmentation techniques. For the face and body, technologies for skin tightening and improving skin quality are improving, and I am very excited to see how they continue to develop.
What are you best known for?
I am best known for how I treat my patients. It is very important to me to keep open lines of communication between myself and my patients, to discuss their concerns and explain their options and the reasoning behind my recommendations. My postoperative patients all have my personal cell phone number, not only for rare emergencies but also for any questions or concerns that arise in the recovery process.
What is your most memorable patient reaction?
Every time I see tears of joy, it makes my whole week. My favorite thing is to take down a dressing, like a splint after a rhinoplasty, and watch the patient see themself for the first time. Watching the joy wash over their face is just the best part of my job.
What sets your practice apart?
Our personal touch is what sets us apart. When you enter our office, you really feel the privacy and sense of calm. We have a small staff and enjoy getting to know our patients well, and I think that translates to better patient care.
What I love most about my profession:
I love the way that I am able to help my patients address their concerns, improve their confidence, and feel more comfortable in their own skin!
Career-defining procedure?
I think that my career-defining procedure is still to be determined. Precision rhinoplasty is my favorite procedure and one in which I have specialized training and have done award-winning research. In rhinoplasty and all of the procedures I do, I am constantly assessing my outcomes and looking for ways to deliver better results, so I know that the advances that will really define my career are yet to come.
What new services are you excited to offer?
The new services that I am excited to offer are the latest technologies in laser skin resurfacing and radiofrequency skin tightening. These technologies are exciting on their own and combined with surgery, they stand to improve results in ways that were not possible before.
