Her most recent look is a dreamy, shiny Spotlight Blonde vibe for her new Renaissance era. And lucky for you, we have all the deets on scoring this major new color.
Rita Hazan, celebrity colorist and owner of the namesake Rita Hazan Salon in New York City, is the genius behind Beyoncé’s blonde evolution. She spoke to Harper’s Bazaar and shared all the tips and tricks to getting the ultimate Beyoncé ‘do, “This version of blonde we went with for Renaissance has a little more dimension [than her past blonde], so the highlights placed throughout her hair stand out a little more than usual.” If, like us, you’re dying to try out the singer’s new shade, Hazan shares exactly what to tell your colorist, “Ask for dimension, but not too much. You don’t want chunky fine highlights. Also, don’t be afraid to lighten your natural color one to two shades. It should not make your color look orange. Lightening the base can make your hair look softer, which brings it all together so it doesn’t look overly stripey.”
Of course, getting a perfect blonde is not the easiest on our hair, so hair care is a crucial part. Hazan lets us in on Beyoncé’s process, “The health and quality of her hair is most important for both of us. Beyoncé and I are always on the same page when it comes to keeping her hair healthy and its overall color. After applying her color and highlights, I always make sure to leave behind a shampoo, gloss, and Weekly Remedy Treatment so she can maintain color between visits.”
