Cameron Diaz seems to be loving life after retirement and has found joy in new projects and a different lifestyle. Following her final role as Miss Hannigan in the 2014 Annie remake, the actress has adopted a more care-free routine when it comes to beauty. Diaz announced her retirement in 2018 but recently opened up about these changes in her life on Michelle Visage’s BBC podcast, Rule Breakers.

Despite the 49-year-old actress’s flawless skin, she admits that she barely gives her appearance any thought. Diaz shockingly said, “I literally do nothing. I never wash my face. Twice a month if I’m lucky, I’ll be like, ‘Oh I better put this on. One time works, right? Like, is that all I have to do?” Wouldn’t we all like to be so lucky?

However, she wasn’t always that way. Diaz opened up about her struggle to not compare herself to other people in the industry throughout her career. We can imagine it could be very difficult when your career revolves around your appearance to some extent. She explains, and I think that’s one of the biggest things. The last eight years, girl—I’m like, wild. I’m like a wild animal, like a beast! You just start to pick yourself apart, you know.”

The retired actress has been putting her extra time into new projects like her wine brand, Avaline. She set out to start the wine brand with clean ingredients in mind and accomplished just that with her organic and vegan-friendly wine that is as pure as possible.
