HB: What is macro and micro-needling with radiofrequency?
The RF Micro and Macro-needling uses short pulse radio frequencies to tighten the underlying skin structure and stimulate the production of volumetric collagen and elastin for healthier-looking skin. The treatment is nonsurgical and yields immediate results leaving skin firmer than before with little to no downtime. The more superficial the treatment, the smaller the needles. HB: How does macro and micro-needling with radiofrequency compare to others of the same nature?
RF Microneedling and fractional lasers can both help tighten skin but RF produces a precise heat into deeper layers of the skin to cause fractional electrocoagulation stimulating the body's own healing process which creates collagen and elastin contraction and production to give patients dramatic results. However, not every RF Microneedling device is the same as some are more comfortable and deliver the energy in a more elegant fashion. Additionally, certain practitioners are more skilled than others. The treatment is quick and relatively painless. A numbing cream is used for patient comfort and the actual treatment takes less than an hour. RF Microneedling can leave skin pink and slightly swollen similar to a sunburn. Mineral makeup can be applied the next day and swelling and redness subsides within 24-72 hours.
