The Best Looks At The 2018 Oscars

This year's Oscars rolled out a red carpet that stunned with beauty ingenuity. From heavy makeup and puff gowns to no embellishments at all, here are the looks that we love.

Andra Day

Andra Day’s bright ensemble ushered in spring – literally. The singer wore her mane in a voluptuous updo, sprinkled with pink petals. The intense, winged eyeshadow and strong cheeks, however, brought a balance to the evanescence of her gown and hairstyle.

 Margot Robbie

On the red carpet, Robbie exuded simplicity and old Hollywood glamor at the same time. Her barely visible, super natural makeup and gently waved bob accentuated her features in a subtle yet powerful way.

Lupita Nyong’o

Nyong’o complemented her stunning dress with a bold blue smokey eye and a gold pompadour in her hair. No wonder the cameras could not peel away from her.

 Salma Hayek

In an apparent break from the figure-flattering gowns that Hayek usually dons, this year, the star wore a shimmery, bejeweled Gucci dress in lilac that required little makeup to create a striking look.

Rita Moreno

Screen legend Moreno flaunted the same (albeit with slight modifications) dress she wore to the 1962 Oscars, where she won Best Supporting Actress for West Side Story.  The statement necklace, earrings and turban headband completed the look.

Frances McDormand

McDormand has for long avoided the vain of the red carpet, and this year was no exception. And still, the Best Actress winner captured everyone’s attention with bare visage, tussled bob and neck-high gown.
