Despite the years she has spent under the camera glare, Jennifer Aniston’s biggest beauty regret is surprisingly simple.
In an interview with the Australian magazine Now to Love, the Friends star revealed that she used to shun sunscreen in pursuit of sun-kissed complexion.
“I loved being brown – I loved it, I loved it, I loved it,” she said.
Instead of sunblock, the 48-year old Aveeno spokeswoman slathered herself in baby oil, which at the turn of the century was the product-of-choice for quick tanning.
“What was I thinking,” Aniston said. “It’s certainly a cautionary tale: just wear sunscreen!”
Since then, she has shaken off the pet-peeve and embraced skin protection. Today, she keeps Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen broad spectrum SPF50 or SPF70 in her bedroom, purse, car and by the pool.
To learn about the different means to shield your skin from the harmful sun rays, consult Haute Beauty skin experts. In his most recent article, Dr. Hayes B. Gladstone outlined disparate sunblocks that suit different skin types and summer activities. Meanwhile, Dr. Gabriel Chiu shared his collagen-based skin protection and rejuvenation regimen. When the sunscreen is not enough, however, Dr. Lisa DiFrancesco suggests a micro-needling treatment, which restores suppleness and prevents damage.
