Net-a-Porter has made a surprising move by teaming up with Vogue to sell collectible prints from the magazine's archives.
Net-a-Porter has made a surprising move by teaming up with Vogue to sell collectible prints from the magazine’s archives. All images were hand-picked by Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour herself and include five photographs of iconic socialites and actresses.
Each of the five images in the Vogue Archive Collection, available online through Net-a-Porter and in conjunction with Condé Nast, comes printed in a 12-inch-by-14.5-inch format on 16-inch-by-20-inch paper, using UltraChrome inks, and is delivered in a custom-designed box along with a letter signed by Anna Wintour.
The prints are:
- Model-turned-actress Ali MacGraw, by Bert Stern, 1969
- Socialite Babe Paley, by Horst P. Horst, 1946
- Classic American beauty C.Z. Guest, by Cecil Beaton, 1953
- Hollywood royalty Grace Kelly, by Jean Howard, 1954
- A young Jackie Kennedy, by Richard Rutledge, 1951
These are limited-edition portraits, with just a 30-print run for each. The individual prints are $700, or you can purchase the entire set of five for $3,200. Each portrait captures an iconic moment of American fashion history and would make a thoughtful gift or nice addition to an already established collection.
