Mercedes Benz New C63 AMG with Performance Package Plus

Very few components could improve the already spectacular Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, yet the German carmaker took on that challenge, and succeeded. The new C63 AMG has a Performance Package Plus, which means it now pushes to 487 HP, a 30 HP boost over the standard AMG model and just 6 HP shy of the race-spec C-Class DTM model. There’s a super-charged tongue twister for you.

The new model jolts from zero to 62 in just 4.4 seconds and zero to 125 in under 14 seconds—certainly adequate numbers for any Autobahn it may come across. An upgraded brake package with composite rotors is included in the new model to help the driver reign in all of that speed. Other modifications include a 6.3-liter V8 engine and a titanium-colored intake manifold and recalibrated computer module to complete the package.

Mercedes says that the new Performance Power Package model will be available on both the sedan and the wagon body styles of the car. Sales of this luxury car are scheduled to begin in Europe before the end of the year, however there is no word yet as to when it will be available in the States.
