Fashion’s Night Out: Weekender Update
You’ve waited for it all year. It’s better than Christmas, your birthday, heck, your wedding day may take a back seat to Fashion’s Night Out, celebrating its second glorious year Friday, September 10th from 6 pm to 11. Enjoy boutique sales, cocktails, fashion shows and more, all in the name of the number one “F” word in your life. But because Dallas has oh-so-much more land span than, say, Manhattan, there are far too many stores to hit in one night. Here’s a few highlights, to help you decide where to spend those five brief hours.
If the weather permits, start out at Highland Park Village. St. John’s boutique is opening their doors to exhibit their new exclusive lines, and every full-price item for $1,295 or more will be met with a gift up to $395. After that, head next door to Leggiadro, who is teaming up with Bobbie Brown to offer makeovers and Leggiadro’s new T-shirt where proceeds benefit breast cancer. Hands in need of a makeover as well? Go to Chanel to get your nails lacquered by Frédéric Fekkai’s new FNO line.
So now you have a few shopping bags and a bit of a buzz from all that champagne. Have your DD escort you next to Northpark Mall, where the Fashionistas are hosting an event at Barney’s. Neiman Marcus is holding the “So You Think You Can Style?” competition, with celebrity judges Jacquelin Sewell, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Jason Sheeler and Dallas Maverick Jason Terry.
If you make it out of the mall in time, head to Stanley Korshak and Forty Five Ten in uptown for pics in a photo booth and a glimpse at local designer Abi Ferrin’s fall 2010 collection.
