Richard Meier Prospect Park Building, New York

Last week some of New York’s most curious real estate lovers and potential buyers congregated at the new and extremely luxurious Richard Meier Prospect Park building on Grand Army Plaza.

The building is extremely elite and typically apartment showings are done by appointment only for individual viewings. However, the exquisite building was hosting a one-time gathering which included free wine, food, and prizes, and the get-together apparently took place in one of the larger units which features four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The real estate “party” was open to the public, and tickets were sold for $10 in advance or $15 at the door, and in true New York philanthropist style, all proceeds went to charity.

The building is nearly entirely covered in glass, allowing for unbeatable picturesque views of the city from every apartment. The building is named after its designer, the well-known Pritzker Prize-winning modern architect and designer, Richard Meier, who is most infamously known for buildings such as the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the High Museum in Atlanta, the Frankfurt Museum for Decorative Arts in Germany, the Canal Plus Television Headquarters in Paris, the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hartford Seminary in Connecticut, and the Antheneum in New Harmony, Indiana…to name a few.
