Dove Cameron and Damiano David’s Behind-the-Scenes Wedding Photos Are Pure Tuscan Romance

A vintage white Lancia convertible, a medieval town hall in the Brunello hills and a bride in a caped Giorgio Armani suit: Dove Cameron and Damiano David’s wedding weekend was as cinematic as you’d hope. The Descendants star and the Måneskin frontman married in Montalcino on September 24, then spent three days celebrating at Castiglion del Bosco, the Rosewood resort and wine estate in Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia, ending with a main celebration for more than 200 guests on Saturday, September 26. Now the official behind-the-scenes photos are here, capturing the vows, the vineyard and the newlywed toasts, and, happily, the recipe for the drink they toasted with.

Consider it a little taste of their Italian “I do.”

The Wedding Weekend

The festivities unfolded like a perfectly paced Italian film. After their civil ceremony at Montalcino’s town hall on Thursday, the couple returned to Castiglion del Bosco for an intimate dinner with their closest family and friends. Friday brought a sunset welcome dinner among the estate’s vineyards, at a long table dressed with gothic flourishes that felt entirely on brand for this particular rock-and-roll romance. Then came Saturday’s main event, when the couple exchanged vows in front of more than 200 loved ones.

Castiglion del Bosco has hosted its share of famous weddings (Kate Upton and Justin Verlander said their vows here in 2017), and it’s easy to see why. Sprawling across the Brunello di Montalcino countryside, the estate pairs a medieval castle with cypress-lined vineyards and the kind of golden Tuscan light that does a photographer’s job for them.

The Wedding Pour

Every great Italian celebration needs an aperitivo, and MARTINI joined the weekend as its exclusive aperitivo and vermouth partner. Guests enjoyed MARTINI Bitter Spritzes, MARTINI Americanos and MARTINI Negronis, but the newlyweds’ drink of choice, and the undisputed star of the photos, was the MARTINI Bianco Spritz, served in the brand’s signature Spritz glasses.

Want to recreate the wedding pour? Mix 3 parts MARTINI Prosecco, 2 parts MARTINI Bianco and 1 part soda, serve it over ice and garnish with lemon, mint and strawberry. It’s bright, gently floral and dangerously easy to drink, which is exactly what you want from a toast. Salute to the happy couple.

Haute Living Verdict: The most romantic celebrity wedding of the year, with the best signature cocktail. Pour one and toast.
