Beefbar has grown from its beginnings in Monte Carlo into a global dining brand with more than 30 locations across cities including Monaco, Paris, Dubai, Mykonos, Hong Kong and São Paulo. In 2024, Tribeca Hospitality Group partnered with Riccardo Giraudi to introduce the brand to the United States, opening Beefbar New York in the former Nobu space at 105 Hudson Street in Tribeca.

The New York restaurant brings together the traditions of a classic New York steakhouse and Beefbar’s distinctly European approach. The result is a menu built around high quality meat, international flavors and a more playful interpretation of contemporary steakhouse dining.

Executive Chefs Thierry Paludetto and Peter Jin oversee the culinary program, with the restaurant placing particular emphasis on sourcing. Its steak selection includes Kobe, Wagyu and USDA Prime beef sourced directly from Japan, Namibia and Australia. Beefbar Reserve highlights some of the restaurant’s most prized selections, including premium Japanese Wagyu and the Teppanyaki Catch of the Day.

Beefbar’s relationship with Japanese beef is particularly significant in New York. The restaurant is one of only seven in the city affiliated with the Kobe Beef Association, reinforcing its focus on sourcing and the preparation of premium beef.

The menu extends well beyond steak. Beefbar’s interpretation of global street food includes Bao Buns and Truffle Wagyu Quesadillas, while seafood selections such as Hamachi Pastrami add another dimension to the dining experience. The approach reflects the broader identity of Beefbar, where high quality ingredients are presented through dishes designed to feel approachable and contemporary.

Drinks are another important part of the experience. Tribeca Hospitality Group Beverage Director Robert Giles oversees the wine and cocktail program, which takes familiar flavors in unexpected directions. The Beefbar Milk Punch combines Brugal 1888, Calvados, Braulio Amaro, yuzu and passionfruit, while Dr.’s Orders combines Jefferson’s Rye Aged at Sea, Michter’s Bourbon, walnut bitters, Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry and cherrywood smoke.

The setting gives Beefbar New York an identity of its own. The 6,000 square foot restaurant occupies the former Nobu space and was designed by French architects Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet of Humbert & Poyet. The interiors draw from the building’s Art Deco character, with tall arched windows, antique mirrors, velvet banquettes and bronze alabaster sconces creating an atmosphere that balances Parisian sophistication with a distinctly New York sensibility.

That design approach earned the restaurant recognition from Prix Versailles in 2025, when Beefbar New York was named among the World’s Most Beautiful Restaurants. The recognition highlights the role architecture and interior design play in the overall Beefbar experience.

Behind the New York location is Tribeca Hospitality Group, a family owned hospitality company established in 2021 by the Rahman family and led by CEO Aqib Rahman and CFO Tareef Rahman. Rooted in Tribeca, the company was founded around a long standing family interest in dining, travel and hospitality.

The group’s approach focuses on creating restaurants that feel connected to the neighborhoods where they operate. Alongside Beefbar New York, Tribeca Hospitality Group is preparing to introduce its first original concept, Ludico, in Tribeca this November.

For Beefbar, the New York location represents an extension of a global dining identity into one of the city’s most distinctive neighborhoods. Its combination of premium beef, international influences, cocktails and design gives the Monte Carlo born brand a distinctly Tribeca expression while retaining the culinary character that has shaped Beefbar internationally.
