Haute Living and Coney Family Foundation Celebrate Donovan Mitchell
Haute Living, in partnership with the Coney Family Foundation, hosted an intimate private dinner at Selene in New York City celebrating NBA superstar Donovan Mitchell and his latest Haute Living cover. The exclusive evening brought together Mitchell’s family, friends, and a curated group of notable guests to celebrate one of basketball’s most accomplished stars and the impact he continues to make both on and off the court.

A seven-time NBA All-Star and three-time All-NBA selection, Mitchell has established himself among the league’s elite. Born in Elmsford, New York, and raised with deep ties to the tri-state area, Mitchell has spent his career building toward exactly this kind of moment. In 2026, he earned his fourth All-Star selection as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers and his third All-NBA nod in four seasons. That run places him among a small handful of Cavaliers in franchise history, alongside LeBron James, Brad Daugherty, Mark Price, and Kyrie Irving, to earn four or more All-Star selections with the team. With deep roots in the New York area, the celebration at Selene provided a meaningful setting to honor his journey, accomplishments, and the next chapter of his career.

Beyond basketball, Mitchell has consistently used his platform to give back. Through Spida Cares, his philanthropic work has focused on education, youth empowerment, and creating opportunities for underserved communities, values that aligned naturally with the Coney Family Foundation and its own commitment to making a meaningful impact.

Guests gathered at Selene for an intimate cocktail reception followed by a specially curated dinner. The evening’s menu, presented by Champagne Telmont and LOUIS XIII, moved through a family-style Greek feast: a first course of Greek spreads with housemade pita, hummus, ktipiti, and tzatziki, followed by a second course spanning horiatiki salad, calamari, sesame feta with candied figs and raspberry-honey glaze, Selene chips, and tuna crudo. The third course brought branzino, roasted chicken with lemon roasted potatoes, prime Angus ribeye, and imam bayildi, alongside sides of lemon potatoes and carrots. Dessert closed the night with Greek yogurt and honey, baklava served with pistachio gelato, and cheesecake. Telmont Champagne was featured throughout the evening, while LOUIS XIII marked the celebration with a special cognac toast honoring Mitchell.
