Catch Hospitality Group Is Opening a French Brasserie in the West Village This Fall
Cafe Charmant, a coastal French brasserie from Catch Hospitality Group and chef Jake Tyler Brodsky, opens in the West Village in fall 2026.
Catch Hospitality Group is bringing a new restaurant concept to New York. Cafe Charmant, a coastal French brasserie helmed by former Eleven Madison Park chef Jake Tyler Brodsky, is set to open at 340 Bleecker Street in the West Village in early fall 2026, becoming the fourth New York City concept from partners Tilman J. Fertitta and Eugene Remm following Or’esh, The Eighty Six, and The Corner Store.

The premise is a classic French brasserie filtered through a brighter, seaside-driven lens — the French Riviera meeting downtown New York. Brodsky, who draws on time spent at Palm Heights in the Cayman Islands alongside a fine-dining foundation, brings a polished brasserie technique to a menu that balances timeless staples — Niçoise Salad, Steak Frites — with a robust raw and seafood program built for the way people actually want to eat. “Cafe Charmant is our sun-kissed interpretation of the classic French brasserie,” Brodsky says. “Inspired by the effortless charm of coastal port cities, it reimagines the traditional bistro through lighter touches, vibrant flavors, and a sense of ease.”
The cocktail program comes from CHG Beverage Director Lucas Robinson — the creative force behind the bar programs at The Corner Store, The Eighty Six, and Or’esh — built entirely from in-house ingredients using French culinary techniques, including sous vide and fat washing. Signature drinks include a Provençal Dirty Martini, a Garibaldi, and a Cucumber Sour. The wine list is curated by Wine Director Emily Buse, recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top 50 sommeliers in the United States.
The 70-seat space was designed by Rockwell Group, whose brief was to reimagine the traditional French bistro through a contemporary lens — eclectic and curated, European in spirit, and unmistakably downtown New York. “It’s been incredible to work alongside Chef Jake as we’ve brought this concept to life,” says Remm. “We wanted to build something that feels new but also timeless — and it comes back to what we’ve always stood for: great food, great service, great vibe.”
