Shivam Tewari On Taking Nuvora Energy Public and Powering the Future From Earth to Space

In an era where energy defines not only economies but influence, Shivam Tewari is emerging as a compelling figure shaping what comes next. As CEO of Nuvora Energy, he leads a company preparing for a potential Nasdaq debut while advancing a vision that spans Earth’s infrastructure and the frontier of space.

Tewari’s trajectory reflects both precision and scale. A graduate of the University of Southern California, he began his career in finance before joining Eastern Electrolyzer Limited, his family-founded enterprise focused on hydrogen technologies. Over the past decade and a half, he has built expertise across the energy value chain, working with major global industrial conglomerates, including TATA, Adani, Tenaris Group, and Technip Energies. His experience spans the full lifecycle of hydrogen plants, from design and manufacturing to installation and operation.

Today, his focus is on one of the most consequential technologies in modern energy: small modular reactors. These compact nuclear systems are gaining attention for their ability to deliver continuous, zero-carbon power with greater flexibility than traditional nuclear plants. As demand accelerates, driven by artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and energy-intensive industries, the need for reliable baseload power has become a defining challenge.

Tewari positions SMRs as a necessary evolution. Under his leadership, Nuvora Energy is developing reactors designed to power hyperscale data centers and sovereign energy systems, with an ambition to co-generate far more cost-effective hydrogen for the development of synthetic fuels in the United States.

Supporting this vision is a leadership team that combines technical expertise with financial and strategic experience. Nuvora Energy is chaired by Ferras Zalt, a former NASA employee, alongside a board that includes Candice Beaumont, Chair of the Salsano Group; entrepreneur Jeremy Frommer; fund manager Pranav Sharma; and Executive Director and investment manager Eric Schaer. Together, the group brings experience across capital markets, energy, venture development, and global infrastructure aligned with the company’s long-term ambitions.

Beyond terrestrial deployment, Nuvora is also exploring microreactors for space, an area drawing increasing interest from governments and private industry. As missions to the Moon and Mars move closer to execution, energy remains a critical constraint. Compact nuclear systems, capable of operating independently of traditional grids, are seen as foundational for sustained human presence beyond Earth.

Tewari views this not as a distant ambition, but as a natural extension of the company’s capabilities. The same modularity that makes SMRs viable for remote regions on Earth positions them as essential infrastructure for extraterrestrial environments.

To support its growth, the company is preparing for a Nasdaq listing, aiming to scale manufacturing, accelerate research, and expand its global footprint. For stakeholders, it represents exposure to a sector increasingly tied to both national priorities and technological advancement.

Away from the operational intensity of building an energy company, Tewari divides his time between California and India, reflecting the international scope of both his business and personal life.
