Haute Leaders recently gathered in New York City for an intimate dining experience high above the Financial District, where elevated cuisine, curated cocktails, and sweeping skyline views set the tone for a memorable evening. Hosted by Haute Living, the exclusive gathering took place at One40 Rooftop, bringing together industry leaders and tastemakers for a night defined by meaningful conversations and refined hospitality.

Perched on the 20th floor of the Club Quarters Hotel near the World Trade Center, One40 Rooftop offers one of Manhattan’s most striking vantage points. The sophisticated rooftop venue combines contemporary design with panoramic views of Lower Manhattan, creating an atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting. Known for its modern American cuisine and handcrafted cocktails, the restaurant has quickly become a sought after destination.

The evening began with a relaxed cocktail reception as guests arrived. Conversations unfolded naturally as attendees connected with fellow entrepreneurs, executives, and innovators who make up the growing Haute Leaders network. With the city lights glowing in the distance, the rooftop setting provided the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to connection and collaboration.

As guests mingled, a series of elegant passed hors d’oeuvres were served to introduce the culinary experience. Among the highlights were delicate mini tomato and ricotta tarts finished with micro cilantro, gravlax salmon canapés paired with cucumber lime mousse and lemon caviar, and miniature Wagyu beef tartare crostini. Each bite showcased the kitchen’s attention to detail and set the stage for the multi course dinner that followed.

Appetizer selections included a mushroom vol au vent featuring flaky puff pastry filled with aromatic chanterelle and king oyster mushrooms, a vibrant tuna carpaccio with yellowfin tuna, blood orange, and crème fraîche mousse, and a warm baby artichoke salad complemented by Iberico prosciutto, shaved pecorino, and organic watercress.

For the main course, the kitchen presented a trio of sophisticated options that catered to a range of tastes. The organic prime filet mignon arrived alongside smooth pomme purée and a rich bordelaise sauce, offering a classic and indulgent centerpiece to the meal. Another standout was the crispy skin seared black cod served with cauliflower rice and lemon capers beurre blanc, delivering a delicate balance of flavor and texture. Guests seeking a plant forward option enjoyed a seasonal squash dish combining butternut, acorn, and kabocha squash finished with a velvety squash velouté.
