Two words: Adrianna Papell.
As the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards approach, a girl’s gotta wonder –just what the hell am I going to wear this year that hasn’t been done before? The house of Adrianna Papelll has been Hollywood’s go-to design house for many, many years. Not only have their dresses graced some of Hollywood’s hottest bods, they have also frequently starred center stage in shows like Gossip Girl, Dancing with the Stars, 90210, and America’s Next Top Model.
Launched in 1979, the company initially forged its reputation and fostered its distinctive look with silk blouses and dresses, strategically positioning itself as a brand that offered fashion forward style, while remaining price conscious. “It was and continues to be important for us to create beautiful attainable dresses for women to enjoy,” notes Jaynee Berkman, Creative Director and Chief Merchandiser. Berkman – if anyone – should know. Previously she worked at Saks Fifth Avenue as a buyer before making the move to the house of Papell – learning the ins and outs of what women want, what they don’t, and just what makes a gorgeous gown fit. As we all know, one size does not fit all – and Berkman and her team of savvy designers have managed year after year to create gowns for every figure out there, making us feel beautiful…whether we’re the statuesque First Lady of the United States, or a 5′ 4″ Los Angeles based journalist named Susan.
So: Come Sunday, August 29th – be sure to keep your eye on the red carpet, because suffice to say, you’ll be spotting many a Adrianna Papell swathed beauty talking to Ryan Seacrest, guaranteed.
