EDITION Hotels and Sotheby’s Bring the Spirit of Lake Como to New York City

News | December 19, 2025

EDITION Hotels and Sotheby’s brought a slice of Lake Como to New York City on Sunday, December 7, hosting a brunch at Sotheby’s at The Breuer during the house’s inaugural Luxury Week. The gathering marked a rare collaboration that blends fine jewelry, contemporary hospitality, and experiential travel, celebrating Verdant Reverie: The Gem of the Alps at The Lake Como EDITION, an exclusive auction lot created in partnership with jewelry designer Sarah Ysabel Narici of DYNE.

The brunch unfolded as a transportive moment rather than a traditional presentation. Berlin-based creative director Idan Gilony reimagined Sotheby’s reception space as a lakeside terrace, complete with immersive visuals that evoked the quiet glamour of Lake Como. Guests moved through the space as if stepping into a window overlooking the water, pausing for artful bites inspired by the region, including playful takes on Risotto al Pesce Persico and Polenta Uncia.

Set along Lake Como’s western shoreline in the town of Cadenabbia, The Lake Como EDITION reimagines a historic lakeside property through the brand’s modern, design forward lens. The hotel balances contemporary interiors with restored architectural details, offering sweeping views across the water toward Bellagio. Dining is anchored by Chef Mauro Colagreco, whose restaurant Cetino brings his ingredient driven, seasonally rooted philosophy to the region, while wellness plays a central role through a longevity focused spa designed to blend advanced treatments with restorative rituals. Together, the property is positioned as both a serene retreat and a cultural destination, reflecting a new chapter of modern luxury on one of Italy’s most storied shores.

At the center of the collaboration is a one of a kind DYNE necklace designed by Sarah Ysabel Narici, paired with an indulgent stay at The Lake Como EDITION, set to fully launch in March 2026. The lot, offered as part of Sotheby’s Fine Jewelry auction during Luxury Week, reflects a growing intersection between collectible design and destination driven luxury. Estimated at $15,000 to $25,000, the experience offers early access to the property during its introductory season, along with curated dining, wellness, and cultural moments designed to capture the spirit of the region.

Narici’s necklace serves as both centerpiece and keepsake. Crafted in yellow gold and set with mottled green jadeite, the piece draws directly from the landscape that inspired it. “This necklace has the sinuous shape characteristic of my pieces, designed to rest closely along the clavicles and neck. Its fluid line naturally echoes the movement of water across the body, making it a fitting complement to Lake Como’s setting. The green jadeite, with its distinctive veining, mirrors the tones of the surrounding hills and lake.”

For EDITION, the collaboration speaks to the brand’s approach to modern luxury, where design, place, and experience are inseparable. “At EDITION, we partner with artists and designers who share our commitment to redefining modern luxury by thoughtfully embedding contemporary design into every experience. DYNE is exactly that. Sarah Ysabel Narici’s take on Lake Como, from the sinuous lines to the verdant jade, captures the shoreline’s beauty while turning craftsmanship into art. What excited us most is how her global point of view meets our deep sense of place, minimal, modern, and rooted in the lake. Together, we created something that blurs the boundaries between collectible art and travel, a timeless memento matched with an immersive journey that reflects EDITION’s belief that true luxury is both singular and intimately connected to where you are,” says George Fleck, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader of EDITION.

The winning bidder will receive a two-night stay in one of The Lake Como EDITION’s penthouses, dining at Chef Mauro Colagreco’s restaurant Cetino, a longevity focused spa experience, private boat excursions on the lake, and personalized regional touches curated by Narici and Sotheby’s Vice Chairman Frank Everett. Together, the offering captures a modern vision of luxury that feels immersive, intimate, and deeply connected to place.
