CHANEL Drops Métiers d’art 2026 Teaser Film Starring Margaret Qualley and A$AP Rocky
CHANEL is setting the stage for the Métiers d’art 2026 show in the most New York way possible, dropping a short film that moves through the city with a mix of grit and magic. Directed by Michel Gondry, the teaser stars House ambassadors Margaret Qualley and A$AP Rocky, who slip into the rhythm of the city in looks in looks by Matthieu Blazy. The collaboration feels especially fitting for Gondry, whose career has been defined by surreal, emotionally rich visuals in films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

The House also released a playful poster that places the pair against an illustrated skyline, a small nod to the creative spirit behind Gondry’s world. It is bold, graphic and a little nostalgic, setting the tone for what feels like a very New York chapter of Métiers d’art.

Behind the scenes images round out the preview, offering quick glimpses of the cast and crew on set. Qualley is photographed stepping onto a platform in a vibrant tweed coat, Rocky rehearses choreography in a bright red look and Gondry is right there with them, shaping the mood with his usual mix of whimsy and precision. Original music by Le Motel adds another layer to the film’s atmosphere, giving the teaser a pulse that mirrors the pace of the city.

The Métiers d’art collection always celebrates the craftsmanship of CHANEL’s artisan partners, and bringing that story to New York adds another layer to the narrative. It is a city built on creativity and constant reinvention, which makes it an undeniable match for a collection that spotlights the hands and artistry behind every piece.
The CHANEL Métiers d’art 2026 show will take place on December 2 at 8 pm in New York. If this first look is any indication, CHANEL is gearing up for something that feels cinematic, emotional and unmistakably New York.
