The Highline Room at The Standard

News | October 14, 2009

After his hip Black Bar opened on the 18th floor, André Balazs’ provocative Standard Hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, which impressively bridges over the High Line at Little West 12th Street, now has a private space that recently begun to host events.

The Highline Room is at the level of the adjacent High Line elevated park. Although this space doesn’t have a hot tub, giant pretzels, bathing suit vending machine, or panoramic city views as the rest of the boutique hotel’s nightlife program does, it’s just as posh as the rest of the property. Word on the street is that all private events will now be held at here and that the Boom Boom Room is no longer available for private events.
