Haute Living kicked off Art Basel Miami Beach 2018 with an intimate private collectors’ dinner for Jordi Molla in partnership with D. Candaux timepieces and JAJA Tequila ahead of Molla’s pop-up exhibition at the stunning Mondrian South Beach.
The private collectors’ dinner invited some of the world’s biggest watch collectors and art connoisseurs. Attendees were able to get a glimpse at Molla’s POP art exhibition ahead of Art Basel as well as some of D. Candaux’s spectacular timepieces. The renowned watchmaking company offers the bold design in its iconic timepiece collection featuring flawless architectural designs for watch aficionados to express their individual style.
Molla, who has partnered with David Rosen Gallery for this year’s Art Basel exhibition, says his collection is “all about love […] It’s about sharing art, sharing light, sharing time and sharing love. This is some of my love.” The collection of artwork uses elements of extreme beauty from the classics and mixes contemporary street-style and graffiti in order to create the perfect blend of POP Art—a technique inspired by North American painters of the 20th century such as Basquiat and Schnabel.
The elegant dinner featured a variety of deliciously crafted foods, including Spanish gazpacho and pan seared scallops served with fresh herb roasted root vegetables and cauliflower purée. Guests were able to indulge in mouthwatering entrées and an assortment of desserts with specialty drinks made with Jaja Tequila.
The special Jordi Molla Exhibit will take place during Art Basel Miami Beach during December 6-8th at Mondrian Miami Beach.
