Van Cleef & Arpels Launches New High Jewelry Collection Inspired By Four Fairytales By The Brothers Grimm

Known for crafting some of the most haute jewelry collections in the world, Van Cleef & Arpels has launched a new collection inspired by four fairytales, originally written by the famed Brothers Grimm. The four fairytales are The Twelve Dancing Princesses, The Golden Bird, The Three Feathers and Town Musicians of Bremen.

In the fantastical worlds created by the Grimms, Van Cleef & Arpels takes this same fairytale beauty into the collection, paying homage to the mystical landscapes, enchanting forests with countless trees, opulent flowerbeds and of course, the charming characters. Each piece embodies all of these characteristics, and more, of each of the four tales, through the colors, gems, shapes and sizes.

Each stone is picked based on a variety of criteria—including weight, color and clarity—and then examined extensively by the Maison’s gemologists. The result is reflected in each of the beautiful creations’ individual components and as a whole, in both the exceptional quality and in their ode to childhood in the wondrous nature of each fable. For instance, a yellow diamond glitters like a golden apple; an emerald mirrors a lush and bountiful garden, while a blue Burmese sapphire depicts a starry, moonlit night.
