Weekend Roundup: Celebrate World Sake Day In Style With Dassai On September 21

World Sake Day is held every year on October 1st as a tribute to the Japanese beverage sake, a popular drink created by fermenting rice. To kick-off the holiday, DASSAI, Japan’s premium artisan sake brewery, is holding a must-go event for any sake and spirits enthusiast on Thursday, September 21 at Haven Rooftop. Located on 47th street in Manhattan, Haven Rooftop offers goers sweeping views of the city from its exclusive rooftop location.

The event will be hosted by DASSAI’s Chairman & Founder, Hiroshi Sakurai, and President Kazuhiro Sakurai and will be featuring five different types of DASSAI Beyond, the super luxe, premium sake. Going from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, visitors will also be offered special hors d’oeuvres pairings to perfectly complement their choice of sake. Patrons can also choose to wear kimonos to fully get into the spirit of the event (although they are not required)!
