Where “To The Bone” Star Carrie Preston Loves To Hang Out In L.A.
If you’ve seen “True Blood,” you know Carrie Preston. The adorable redhead played Arlene Fowler in the hit HBO show for the duration of its onscreen life. She has also made a name for herself by playing pivotal roles in some of television and film’s most memorable projects, including the NBC comedy “Crowded” as well as the HBO’s series, “Getting On”, the ABC mini-series “When We Rise” and the new CBS drama, “The Good Fight.” In 2014, she even won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series for her role in “The Good Wife” and was nominated in 2016 for the same category, beating out fellow nominees Linda Cardellini for “Mad Men,” Jane Fonda for HBO’s “The Newsroom,” Margo Martindale for “The Americans,” Joan Cusack for “Shameless” and Diana Rigg in “Game of Thrones.” Currently, she can be seen in the Netflix Original film “To The Bone” starring alongside Lily Collins and Keanu Reeves in a story about a young woman who is dealing with anorexia when she meets an unconventional doctor who challenges her to face her condition and embrace life as well as the TNT series, “Claws.” The hourlong series is being executive produced by Rashida Jones and follows the life and crime of five diverse and treacherous manicurists working at a nail salon in South Florida. Carrie stars as Polly, one of the manicurists with a past working alongside Niecy Nash’s character, Desna.
