Hublot Classic Fusion Italia Independent: Three’s A Charm!
Cooperation and collaboration with the right people can bring you far in this world. The same goes when it comes to watches as Hublot has been showing us for quite some time with the “Art of Fusion.” They have now joined forces once again with Italia Independent, and its illustrious founder and creative director Lapo Elkann, and also included the famous Italian tailor Rubinacci into this collaboration.
The result not only shows the power of the “Art of Fusion” but also that three’s a charm! Rubinacci is a legend in the sartorial world, not in the least because of the fame of Luca Rubinacci, who runs their empire in Milan, but also because they have dressed pop-icons like Bryan Ferry and royals like the Duke of Kent. It was in their incredible collection of fabrics, all 60.000 square meters of them, that they found what they were looking for!
The precious fabrics that were selected were used to dress the watch, the chronograph version of Hublot’s Classic Fusion. They extend from the strap all the way onto the dial, excluding the two subdials, not only to break the pattern, and get a visually more enticing composition, but also to aid legibility.
No matter which of the watches from the Classic Fusion Italia Independent Collection you choose, a tartan, pieds-de-poule or Prince-de-Galles, they will all make a statement. Their 45mm cases are crafted from either titanium, black ceramic or Hublot‘s proprietary King Gold, with clasps to match and fitted with Hublot caliber HUB1143 automatic chronograph movement. All of the watches in the Classic Fusion Italia Independent Collection are limited: the titanium and ceramic pieces to 100 pieces each and the watches made out of King Gold to 50 pieces each.
