Haute Secrets: Cheryl Scott, Meteorologist at ABC7 News

Meteorologist Cheryl Scott has only been in Chicago for five years, but she’s quickly risen through the local media stratosphere. In 2014 she left her original post as weekend meteorologist at NBC5 for a prime-time weeknight slot on top-rated ABC7, and is now one of the city’s most recognized and best-loved news personalities (at least according to her social media following–Scott boasts 47,000 followers on Instagram alone). When she’s not filling us in on the weather, hosting a black-tie gala or volunteering her time with the Chicago Red Cross, she’s busy making the most of the city she now happily calls home. Here, Scott shares with us a few of her local favorites.

Boat ride in lake Michigan or Navy Pier Ferris Wheel followed by fireworks. Cocktails at The Aviary are also top notch!

The Dearborn (Their large cinnamon role is insane)

Sunda, Prime & Provisions, or Beatrix

If you have out of town guests, which hotel would you recommend?
London House or Godfrey.

Karen Millen (Supplies most of my closet!)

Favorite place to buy jewelry/watches:
Hmmmm, I don’t purchase a lot of jewelry.

Every charity is important! I work a lot with the Red Cross so I’ll say our ABC7 Great Chicago Blood Drive

I love Broadway (Theater) in Chicago!

NYC Bagel Deli. ( I like the New York Style)
