Southern Charm Star and New Author Patricia Altschun Book SIgning at Saks Fifth Avenue Atlanta
Saturday afternoon, Bravo’s Southern Charm star Patricia Altschul held a book signing at Saks Fifth Avenue in Atlanta for “The Art of Southern Charm” which was released April 18. Even with all the events happening around town, there was a line around the store with people waiting for their chance to meet the Atlanta native and get an autographed copy of her tell-all. In fact, in just two hours, the books were sold out. Patricia was accompanied by her butler Michael who mixed cocktails while Altschul signed her book in her designer jewels and fabulous pug dress.
Ludacris Honors his Mother with a Complete House Makeover
Photo Credit: Freddy OChris Ludacris Bridges started planning his Mother’s Day gift months ago when he hired interior designer through Houzz. At the time, Roberta Shields, the devoted and loving mother to Bridges was living in his old home, complete with his old furniture. According to the video on Houzz, he wanted to surprise her with a redo on the house to make it much more her own. This included gutting the kitchen (adding personalized extras like a pullout step at the bottom of the oven wall allows her to reach the microwave above the double ovens), brightening up the main rooms and totally redoing her office, which is where she runs the nonprofit Ludacris Foundation. Because of his schedule, Bridges’ wife Eudoxie came in and helped the designer pick out the furniture, make design choices and get it all ready in record time. And that he did.
“She’s going to wake up every day with a smile on her face and go to sleep every night with a smile on her face, knowing her house is complete,” Bridges says. “I feel like every child wants to do all they can possibly do for their mom to give back one ounce of what they have given them. This is one step closer.”
The renovation is featured in the latest episode of My Houzz, a video series documenting public figures as they surprise a close family member with a home renovation. The pilot episode of My Houzz featured Ashton Kutcher, who is an executive producer of the series.A few days before Mother’s Day, they surprised her and she touched beyond words.
