See the Sleek Apartment Chloe Sevigny Just Sold

Chloe Sevigny, star of Big Love and American Horror Story, whom author Jay McInerney once called the “coolest girl in the world,” recently closed on the sale of her chic three bedroom “classic seven” co-op in at the well-known 9 Prospect Park West (Chuck Schumer is another famous resident; former Governor Hugh Carey once called it home too) in Brooklyn. The apartment was listed by Corcoran on November 9 for $2.75M; a sale occurred quickly, with a contract signed few weeks after. Sevigny purchased the property in November 2013 for $2.053M, so she is likely to have cleared a tidy profit. Prior to her move to Brooklyn, Sevigny lived in the East Village.

So what does the new owner get with Chloe’s digs? For starters, a private foyer entry and a spacious living room fronting Prospect Park. Two of the bedrooms also look out over park and come with generous closet space. There’s plenty of light throughout the home with windows facing in every direction. The apartment’s prewar details were refreshed or contrasted with modern accents and finishes; for example, the original built-in cabinetry in the pantry was inspiration for the updated kitchen, but a polished concrete floor was added to the room for a contemporary vibe and light, cerused wood floors were added throughout the space as counterpoint to the classic architecture. Additional features of the apartment include beamed ceilings, a large dining room off the living room, and three bathrooms with the option to add a laundry. While the building is cat friendly, no dogs are allowed. Maybe Sevigny is now in search of new digs that will allow them.
