Flights of Fancy: Lanvin’s Crystals Location Offers Men’s and Women’s Clothing

When you think of Lanvin, asymmetrical designs with cascades of volume and Duchesse satin come to mind. The design house helmed by Alber Elbaz favors cocktail dresses and finds red carpet time from the likes of Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston. You can find the second U.S. location of fashion house at Crystals at CityCenter. And whether you fancy Lanvin or not, the boutique offers a cornucopia of eye candy that you only seem to be able to find in Sin City.

Bal Harbour, Fla., claims the first outpost of Lanvin, but the  Vegas location is the only to carry menswear, designed by Lucas Ossendriiver, and Elbaz’s womenswear collection. It’s the third largest of Lanvin’s flagship stores, with Paris and Tokyo touting larger locations.

The store pays homage to its past when Jeanne Lanvin designed the clothes beginning in 1890. Photos from the company’s Paris archives bedeck the walls alongside Art Deco and Art Nouveau touches that hearken back to the fashion house’s golden era in the 1920s and 1930s. Look for antique chandeliers and Versailles wood parquet floors. The clothing selections hang from wrought iron racks or on blackened steel bookshelves. Lanvin’s creative mannequins line the 17-foot by 60-foot floor-to-ceiling facade bedecked in the fashions and styled in creative enough ways to stop passersby on The Strip.

Look for shoes, bags, jewelry, Arpège fragrances and 120th-anniversary keepsakes ranging from dolls and playing cards to snow globes, along with the Blanche bridal collection and 22 Faubourg totes.
