Katharine McPhee Kicks Off Stereo Love Saturdays at Azure at the Palazzo

American Idol alum Katharine McPhee made a special musical appearance at Azure at the Palazzo on Saturday, June 26, for Stereo Love Live. The sultry singer and songwriter graced the poolside stage and hosted the daytime party to celebrate the launch of Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Vodka.

McPhee arrived with her husband on Friday where they checked in at the VIP lounge to their luxurious Siena suite. McPhee wore a loose fitting cream crop top with cut-off jean shorts and flip flops and sported her signature short, now brunette, hairdo. When McPhee walked into the suite, she gasped at how spacious it was and said, “What are we going to do with all this space?”

Friday night McPhee saw Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular and was overheard saying how much she loved the show. Later that evening she ate dinner at First Food and Bar at the Palazzo wearing a loose fitting tunic top with leggings. She sipped a glass of wine and ate crème brulee for dessert.

Saturday morning, she worked out at Canyon Ranch SpaClub to prepare for her poolside performance at Azure and later she and her husband relaxed with massages.

Once she hit the blue carpet, McPhee wore a Joie jumpsuit. She dined on Wolfgang Puck‘s famous pizza and chicken Caesar salad in her cabana before taking the stage to perform a musical set for her fans. Feeling the heat, she took off her stiletto heels and gold necklace to jump off the stage and get into the water where she sang to her fans. She performed “Surrender” while fans clapped and cheered and then performed her rendition of Kings of Leon’s hit “Use Somebody” while the crowd sang along. About to exit the stage, the pool guests started to scream for one more song. McPhee asked for requests and her fans yelled “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”

Following her poolside performance, she and her husband headed to dinner at her favorite spot in Las Vegas, Tao Asian Bistro at the Venetian. “It’s a tradition to go to Tao,” she said. “I always get asked if I want to go anywhere else and I say no, we are going to Tao. It’s my favorite place. I love the Chilean sea bass and the lobster won tons.”
