MIA: High-Speed Charitable Fun with Prestige Imports’ Ride2Revive
Prestige Imports’ Brett and Brooke David are bringing ‘miles of smiles’ to South Florida with their 6th annual Ride2Revive event. On February 1st, Ride2Revive will welcome 50 children with life-threatening medical conditions to Mardis Gras Casino, where MyWish4U foundation, Chai Lifeline, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital have teamed up to create an unforgettable luxury racetrack experience. The Ride2Revive event aims to provide these terminally-ill children with a day uninhibited by health related struggles and rather filled with invigorating, fast-paced fun! Each year, the event instills hope and positivity in these children – both proven to increase the likelihood ‘of recovery in cases that may have previously been determined terminal.’
Brett David says, “it’s truly a gift for us to watch these children, from near and across the globe, forget their health issues and just enjoy being a kid once again. This next event promises to be the best we’ve ever had!”
Children and their parents will begin their remarkable adrenaline-filled day at the South Parking Lot of Mardi Gras Casino, where partner Gotham Dream Cars will charitably transform the space into a real-life speedway – fixed with authentic ‘standardized hairpin turns and straightaways.’ Children will then choose from a bevy of lavish supercars from Prestige Imports, MPH Club, and their private clienteles to “race” around the track in. To complement the array of luxury automobiles, DEZER Auto Museum is bringing an assortment of TV and Hollywood cars – including the legendary Bat Mobile – for the children to take photos in. The children will also be given the opportunity to leave their mark on an exotic Lamborghini, as it will be clear-wrapped and available for them to sign and draw on.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) and their hounds will kindly be on-site, offering attendees an all-star K9 show, as well as a chance to see all of their vehicles and horses. But, the most noteworthy BSO involvement will undoubtedly be the live helicopter landing, which will likely steal the show. Children will be able to acquaint themselves with the copter once it has touched down, as well as rescue and fire trucks courtesy of The Hallandale Police Department.
The day will be jam-packed with other activities as well, ranging from arts + crafts, face painting, movie caricatures, and singing and dancing. Ride2Revive is sure to be an unforgettable day for these special 50 children. Brooke David explains, “Ride2Revive holds a very special place in my heart. It’s a dream come true for our family to create a foundation that is all about these children and making them so happy.”
