Kelly Slater Celebrates New Outerknown Label in Malibu

Eleven-time world champion surfer, Kelly Slater and Creative Director John Moore hosted a beach bonfire party in Malibu over the weekend to celebrate the launch of Outerknown, a new menswear brand that blends style, function and sustainability.

The intimate event was held at the Malibu beach house of renowned Californian architect Harry Gesner.

Travis Lett and his team from Gjelina cooked for guests that included Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, Julia Roberts and Danny Moder, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Jason Statham, Gerard Butler, Ben Harper, Kim Gordon, Johnny Knoxville, Anthony Kiedis, and Balthazar and Rosetta Getty.

The bar served specialty cocktails including the Paloma and Spicy Daisy designed by Gjusta and featuring Casamigos Tequila, the small batch, ultra-premium tequila owned by longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, while Los Angeles based Moon Juice provided guests with an organic juice and Moon Dust latte bar.

With music playlists curated by Reverberation Radio, guests enjoyed the festivities, mingled on the beach around the bonfire and caught an evening surf on Firewire boards.
