Chef Jason Atherton, who began his career working at a hotel on the Dubai Creek, is bringing his new restaurant Marina Social to Dubai in September. He learned from some of the world’s best chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, as he worked at Verre in the early 2000’s.
Jason Atherton’s Marina Social is located in the InterContinental Dubai Marina. The menu will feature Mediterranean fare with Italian flavors. Among the menu options will be a smoked blue Scottish lobster, according to What’s On. Atherton told Gulf News that they purposely decided to open after the end of Ramadan because business in Dubai typically picks up after the end of Holy Month.
