The 2015 class of Academy Award nominees has an impressive amount of star power, from Bradley Cooper and Reese Witherspoon to Steve Carrell and Michael Keaton. All were on hand at The Beverly Hilton to celebrate their nods on Monday afternoon at the 87th Oscars nominees luncheon.

An elegant lunch was served, though appeared to eschew food to mix and mingle with their fellow nominees.
The Best Actress nominees were a particularly close crew: Julianne Moore, Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike and Marion Cotillard all paused to take numerous photographs together and show some female solidarity.

Laura Dern arrived with father Bruce (who was nominated last year for his work in Nebraska); they were joined by Bradley Cooper, who paused at their table to say hello.
Oprah Winfrey got chummy with Common, who performed the nominated song Glory in Selma, which she produced, and also with Witherspoon.

Also present was Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris, who flew in from New York specifically to lunch with the nominees.
Speeches were given by show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who cautioned the crowd on their potential acceptance speeches. “We need this to be a collaboration,” said Zadan, urging the winners to keep their speeches to the allotted 45 seconds. “Please prepare your speeches and don’t wing it.”
